As promised I am making a blog entry regarding my wisdom teeth! Surprise!
Well, the surgery started around 8:30 and apparently took about a half hour. Textbook. (that means it went as well as described in a text book). They gave me an IV and I was able to watch my own blood drain in and out of me which was awesome and a bit gross. The doctor said I was probably the most excited person he'd met to get her wisdom teeth out. I was amused. And, to my delight, everyone was wearing scrubs. The anesthesia was actually quite slow. It took me a good 10 minutes to go under, but the minute I started feeling woozy, I promptly fell asleep and woke up in the chair at the dentist. After the attending told me I was, well, there and done, I got up (with some help and then went to lay down where he gave me some pills and water through a syringe, which was really cool. Mum helped me walk to the car, although I was extremely lucid and was chattering more than I thought I'd be.
When I got home, I lay down on the couch, watched four episodes of Scrubs, and then got some vicodin, which gave me a chance to take a nap. After waking up, I got some advil and mum gave me ice cream which was tasty! I watched the first PotC movie and laughed a good deal. Obviously, you've never been to Singapore.
Currently I still can't feel my lower jaw or lip which is pretty cool because I can poke it with stuff, to everyone's amusement. I'm not in any pain, although in the past few minutes I developed a slight headache, so I took some more advil. I'm supposed to take vicodin every three hours and advil every three hours (one hour apart) which means I'm highly pleased with everything. I'm playing Spite and Malice with my dad, which he was surprised about because he thought I would be miserable or sleeping, but really, I'm rather the same except for the who not being able to eat solid foods. It's like being a full grown baby. lmao Everyone takes care of me and feeds me soft things.
AWESOME.
So yes, if anyone wants to come visit me, I'm a little lonely and would love the company, so just give the house a ring. <3
Love you all, Bonnie Kate
